Abstract

In the article by Zheng et al. (2021), authors have some clerical errors on carriers’ dosage and microbial metabolic pathway. In detail, the errors are as following: (1) The unit of carrier dosage was g/L rather than mg/L, in Section 2.2. Sludge domestication and operational strategies (page 2). The wrong expression is “Among them, R0/L0 was operated as controlled reactors without adding carriers or with 1 mg/L LAC, while L1-L3 was respectively added with 1–3 mg/L nano-Fe3O4@LAC.” But the right expression is “Among them, R0/L0 was operated as controlled reactors without adding carriers or with 1 g/L LAC, while L1-L3 was respectively added with 1–3 g/L nano-Fe3O4@LAC.” Other contents in the paper about the unit of carrier dosage should be also replaced by “g/L”.(2) The dominated anaerobic ring-cleavage pathway of aromatic compounds according to Fig. 5 should be anaerobic benzoate degradation pathway mediated by 2-ketocyclohexanecarboxyl-CoA hydrolase. The wrong expression is “Benzoyl-CoA degradation pathway was also evidenced as predominated process in anaerobic reaction.” in Section 3.3.1 in page 7.The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
