Abstract
To control the loading and filling process, deposition method and wet chemical method were used to prepare Fe2O3-loading multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Fe2O3/MWCNTs) and Fe2O3-containing MWCNTs (Fe2O3@MWCNTs) with different content of Fe2O3, respectively. The Fe2O3/MWCNTs and Fe2O3@MWCNTs were characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermogravimetry analysis (TG). Results show that the Fe2O3 contents in the Fe2O3/MWCNTs and Fe2O3@MWCNTs systems are related to the mass proportion of C to Fe. When the mass proportion for C to Fe is 4:1 or 8:1, the Fe2O3/MWCNTs with Fe2O3 content will be 28.52wt.% or 16.17wt.%, and the Fe2O3@MWCNTs with Fe2O3 content will be 11.32wt.% or 9.43wt.%, respectively.
