Abstract
For complex engineering product data management system, there was no model definition and extension at run-time incrementally and dynamically and also little support for the process knowledge. In order to deal with these problems, complex engineering product data modeling was studied. Context-based adaptive data management model was proposed. Fundamental concepts of the model and their formal definition were presented; a global structure tree based data organization was established; data evolution mechanism among different contexts was discussed, and the concept of neutral information was defined; the process mapping from the model to the object Petri net was discussed. Integrated framework and its application example verified the effectiveness of this model.
