Abstract

Configuration optimization is performed to maximize the performance of a control system with constrained number of redundant actuators. In this paper we focus on exploring the optimal configuration of spacecraft mechanized with four dissimilar flywheels which maximizes the ability of momentum envelope and torque envelope respectively. Power management of the integrated power and attitude control system is also discussed when mechanizing the optimal momentum envelope configuration.
