CONDITIONS FOR EQUILIBRIUM DISTRIBUTION OF ATOMS OVER EXCITED STATES IN A LOW-TEMPERATURE PLASMA.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

On the basis of the theory of the modified diffusional approximation, conditions for ionizational equilibrium in a low-temperature plasma are obtained. The cases of steady homogeneous and unsteady inhomogeneous plasma are considered. The expressions obtained are comparatively simple, provide a good description of experiment, and may be used in practice.
