Abstract

In order to study the deep-treatment of dye wastewater, a technology for degradating Mordant Orange I in water by biological-physico-chemical combination craft consisted of aerobic and micro-electrolysis was developed. The effects of volume ratio of Fe to C, initial pH and HRT on the further treatments of Mordant Orange I with combination craft were investigated. The experiment result showed that: The removal rates of color and MO I were found to be 98.14% and 93.29%, respectively, when the following optimal conditions were used: dye concentration of 100 mg/L with a pH of 5.0, vollum rate of Fe to C 1:2, rate of air/water 15:1 and a internal electrolysis hydraulic retention time of 40 min. Compared with internal electrolysis, obvious effects of ultra-violet on the further removal of color and Mordant Orange I were not found. Acid and aldehyde of six carbon were the main products of internal electrolysis.
