Abstract

According to the geometrical meaning of the reliability index, a concept-reliability index vector and the corresponding computational method are put forward. The analysis and the example results show that the reliability index vector can express reliability index and measure the correlation coefficient of the limit states. A method given by the reliability index vector can be used to calculate the correlation coefficient of the limit states, which is one of the difficult problems for the structural system reliability analysis and application.
