Abstract
A fuzzy statistical analysis was made for the thermal environment and thermal comfort in residential buildings in Harbin by using the fuzzy sets theory to set up a fuzzy comprehensive evaluating model on human thermal sensation. Thus, human thermal sensation can be classified according to the fuzzy pattern recognition system. The optimum temperature range is 18-24°C for 80% residents in winter according to the principle of maximum subordinate to the classification of different thermal sensations. The simulation results based on the fuzzy pattern recognition system show that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluating model is right and applicable.
