Abstract

In order to clarify which kind of model-based sensorless control method is more suitable for synchronous reluctance motors (SynRMs), comparative studies among model reference adaptive system based method(MRAS), extended electro magnetic force based (EEMF) and Flux-based are carried out. Also, various current distribution strategies are compared from the perspective of torque current performance. For further improving the performance of MTPA control, an inductances adaptive adaption law is adopted accounting for the magnetic saturation effects. Finally, comprehensive performances including the estimated angle errors, torque-per-ampere and load capacity are respectively evaluated. What's more, an experimental comparison with a commercial ABB standard driver is carried out. The results states that the performances can be achieved or even better in some degree compared with that of the ABB driver. The torque accuracy in medium-high speed and full load range is less than 2.5%.
