Comparison of two different Monte Carlo simulation methods for the typhoon wind hazard analysis in southeast China coastal region

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

With the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (CE) wind field model, two kinds of Monte Carlo simulation methods with different ways of sampling storms are compared for the typhoon wind hazard analysis in southeast China coastal region. The deviations between the results derived by the method proposed in this paper and the method in the literatures are different for every city in which is studied in this paper.
