Abstract

Efficient synthesis of various propargylamines through the coupling reaction of aldehydes, alkynes, and amines in the presence of chitosan/Zn(NO3)2was developed in this study. The catalysts could be easily and quantitatively recycled without loss of activity. Chitosan is abundant in nature, and commercially available zinc salts are cheap. This produces highly active catalysts with superior performance for potential applications in industry.
