Abstract

To study dynamic characteristics and damping mechanism of impact-contact and friction between tips of blades, LuGre model was used to build an impact-contact and friction model between tips of blades, it was programmed to compute the dynamic characteristics and the damping mechanism. Meanwhile, the effects of some parameters including clearance between tips of blades, static friction coefficient and kinetic friction coefficient on blades' vibration reduction were studied. In addition, the deformation of mane was analyzed and LuGre model was conditionally simplified. Finally, the bifurcation characteristics of this new impact-contact and friction model was figured and analyzed. Consequently, it was shown that the friction characteristics in pre-sliding stage between tips of blades can be described better with LuGre model.
