Abstract

The affect law of main parameters to the hydro-mechanical transmission devices was analyzed, and the principle to determine these parameters was obtained. The efficiency and other performance of hydro-mechanical transmission device were received through established mathematical model. The hydro-mechanical transmission efficiency of wind turbines was up to 92%~94% within the rated rotate speed range, the torque converter with wide range of high efficiency and a relatively low speed was require, and twin-turbo hydraulic torque converter should be chosen. Hydro-mechanical transmission has to possess high efficiency within the entire operating range to ensure a reasonable match of wind turbine, planetary row and the torque converter.
