Abstract

In this paper, we carry out measurements of wireless channel in suburban scenarios at 10 GHz. Propagation characteristics such as path loss (PL), delay spread (DS), Ricean K factor (KF), angular spread (AS) are investigated. The path loss exponents (PLE) for the floating-intercept (FI) and closein (CI) models are analyzed. In the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenario, higher PL is observed due to increased scattering and the absence of direct signals. It is found that the line-of-sight (LOS) scenario exhibits a more concentrated DS distribution while NLOS scenario exhibits a significantly larger azimuth spread of arrival (ASA), which should be from diffraction.
