Abstract

Carbon-coated iron carbide was produced by treating as-grown carbon filaments with carbon dioxide laser irradiation. The as-grown materials used were prepared by thermal decomposition of benzene with floating iron catalyst particles in the reactor space. The samples were observed with transmission electron microscope (TEM) and high-resolution Transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
