Abstract

Based on combination of the critical plane method and the energy method, the fatigue damage parameters are defined as the total strain energy density on the critical plane. The fatigue damage accumulation equations and the prediction model of the fatigue life are built. The fatigue lives under different load locations are predicted. Different cases corresponding to standard loads and overload conditions are analyzed. According to the numerical results and the three-stages law of concrete fatigue damages, it is found that some repairing measures can be adopted so that further damages may be avoided.
