Abstract

This paper describes a new axially magnetized slotless tubular linear motor with the permanent magnet, which looks as trapezoid in the section along radius and axis. The characteristics of the air-gap flux density is calculated and analyzed based on the magnetic circuit, and then motor is optimized by finite element analysis. The characteristics of the motor is verified.
