abstract = "This paper proposes a precise, concise and physical lumped circuit parameter extraction method to build a broadband effective circuit model for a passive component or an interconnector based on PEEC theory. The external port impedance matrix is firstly built up by multiplying the selector matrix and the branch voltage matrix root from n+1 nodes PEEC network. Then, a polynomial form of the port impedance matrix is obtained using generalized eigenvalue theory. The reduced order circuit model can be obtained by removing high frequency terms and the reduced order circuit parameters can be calculated by matrix transform too. Spiral PCB planar inductor's circuit parameters are extracted using the method proposed and the simulation and test results prove the reduced order model is effective till 700MHz.",
