Abstract

A differential game guidance law considering the second-order maneuvering dynamics of the missile is developed with bounded controls. The existence conditions of the singular regions are derived analytically. The parameters analysis shows that increasing the missile's oscillation frequency or reducing its damping ratio will reduce the miss distance and enlarge the singular region, consequently, release the handover conditions. The usefulness of this guidance law and the parameters' effects are demonstrated in a realistic ballistic missile defense scenario.
