Abstract

Based on the 2024 aluminum alloy extrusion rod isothermal heat treatment, formation mechanism and influence factors of semi-solid microstructure were investigated. The processing parameters for the industrial application were presented by analyzing the gear parts manufactured by the technology. The results reveal that desirable microstructure can be observed at 626℃ for 10 min,and the tensile strength reaches 290 MPa.
