Abstract

A bidirectional hybrid isolated DC transformer (B-HIT) is proposed for interconnection of MVDC and HVDC systems. Compared with the existing topologies, the proposed B-HIT reduces the device count, cost, loss, and SM capacitance. The operation principle is introduced, and the effectiveness has been confirmed by simulation results and experimental results.
