Bidirectional crosslinking transverse flux flat type permanent magnet linear synchronous motor

Abstract

A bidirectional crosslinking transverse flux permanent magnet motor was presented, which had larger space utilization ratio than traditional transverse flux machine. The primary core unit can make full use of secondary permanent magnets, effectively reduce the flux leakage, and increase the winding flux and no-load back-EMF, with the features of easy manufacture. The three-dimensional magnetic circuit model was established and the analytical expression of no-load back-EMF and the thrust were derived. In additional, the magnetic field and thrust were analysised by 3-D finite element method. A prototype was designed and manufactured. The back-EMF and static thrust experiments were carried out. The theoretical analyses agreed with the experiment results well. That verified the validity of the theoretical analysis.
