Abstract

This paper describes the design of a Battery Condition Monitoring System, which monitors the state of the battery, communicates with an Energy Management System (EMS) and a battery charge voltage regulator, to prolong the life of the battery. The condition of the battery in real time will be known at all times under all driving conditions. Realistic energy management strategies will aim to optimize the use of the battery.
