Abstract

The evaluation criteria system over the supplier selection problem is built through literature statistical methods, which can be identified as the subjective or the objective type. The evaluate ratings under the criteria are in the form of a variety of mixed data types. The weights of criterion and decision-makers (DM) are determined objectively based on the original collected evaluating information, which can effectively avoid the loss of information caused by the single data type, and can overcome the double uncertainty from DM's subjective judgment of the evaluating information and the weight information. The hybrid VIKOR method is used to construct the supplier selection evaluation model in order to deal with conflicting and non-commensurable criteria issue effectively, which can guarantee the minimum of individual regret, at the same time keeping the maximization of group utility. Finally, the comparison between the hybrid VIKOR method and TOPSIS method through theoretical analysis, numerical experiments and sensitivity analysis shows the effectiveness of the proposed method for supplier selection problem.
