Abstract

An algorithm of combining homomorphic and adaptive fuzzy multilevel median filter is proposed, which is applied to restoring images degraded by speckle noise. Simulation results show that the algorithm can not only preserve the geometrical features of images but also effectively suppress speckle noise in images. Through comparison, it is proved that the algorithm is superior to the algorithm of combining homomorphic and multilevel median filter.
