Abstract

An auxiliary current hot forming process of high-strength steel slender automobile parts was developed. In the hot forming process, high-strength steel sheet was heated by a DC power supply at a current of 1.1kA. The forming part has a better quality when the temperature is 750 °C and the thickness is more uniform. Die quenching considerably increased tensile strength after forming with an improved growth of 30%.
