N2 - In recent years, prefabricated buildings have been widely applied in off-site construction, and related research on the automation of prefabricated concrete component production and quality inspection has gradually increased. However, there is a relative lack of effective sorting and analysis of the literature on the automation of prefabricated component transportation. Therefore, this paper systematically reviews a total of 56 articles published from 2013 to September 2024 and conducts a comprehensive analysis. By adopting a three-step research method of bibliometric retrieval, quantitative analysis, and qualitative analysis, key research themes are identified and summarized, namely, vehicle transportation scheduling, component allocation and stacking, and monitoring and identification. Finally, the limitations of the current published research are clarified to predict future research trends.
