Abstract
The optimization design of masonry layouts in masonry engineering is crucial for ensuring construction quality and reducing material waste. Current masonry layouts mainly use manual or semi-automated arrangements, leading to low quality and efficiency. They often overlook complex constraints and find it difficult to meet on-site construction schedules. Therefore, this paper combines simulated annealing and tabu search (SA-TS) to efficiently optimize a two-stage mathematical model with multiple region masonry wall layouts, through methods such as vertical exploration factor introduction and a local cycle breakthrough strategy. Additionally, the BIM automation technology is applied to automatically create the masonry models. The optimization test results of multiple case models indicate that this method can effectively achieve automatic optimization design and modeling of masonry layouts, providing support for digital masonry construction and realizing the dual benefits of high quality and low material waste.
