Automatic measurement and compensation of inductosyn angular displacement error

Abstract

A method that measuring angular displacement error, identifying parameters of error model and compensating error automatically was put forward based on inductosyn angular measuring system. The method adopted computer to acquire autocollimation data and reduced test data error caused by manual record, so the veracity of test data was improved. The parameters of error model were identified by the least square method. The accuracy of angular displacement was increased greatly by software error compensation according to the error model and parameters. The experimental result shows that this method has high degree of automatization and can compensate the error of angular displacement sufficiently, so the accuracy is improved greatly and the residual error of test data is decreased remarkably.
