Abstract

Alkaline/Surfactant/Polymer (ASP) flooding is a new technology to improve oil recovery after polymer flooding. Because of ASP technology use in the Daqing oil field in recent years, a large amount of ASP flooding produced fluid caused secondary pollution. Produced fluid composition is extremely complex, including a lot of polymer, alkaline and surfactant chemicals, so defects such as ASP flooding produced serious fluid emulsion, high alkali content and sewage viscosity appeared in the Daqing oilfield. Factors including high costs, poor availability and process instability were in oilfield water technology. In the paper, ASP flooding treatment processes including Pressure separation process combined settlement and Heterogeneous catalytic oxidation process were introduced. It is recommended to increase the development of new technology, especially the development of a biological treatment process for water produced from ASP flooding of treatment in the future.
