Area Expandable Wireless Charging System Using Multi-Inverter Array Type Transmitting Coils

Abstract

This paper proposes a wireless charging system based on multi-inverter array type transmitting coils to solve the transmission power drop caused by the randomness of the receiver. Through the overlapping array arrangement of the transmitting coils and the switching of the transmitting coils, the mutual inductance between the receiving coil and the transmitting coil is kept stable in a more extensive range. In the case of using four transmitting coils, at the height of 100mm, the mutual inductance is reduced by less than 15% within the range of 880mm×880mm. The parallel resonant cavity is constructed by using the inverters of non-working coils to solve the problem caused by the mutual coupling between the transmitting coils.
