Abstract

Fiber optic gyroscope can be used as a measuring unit in high-precision servo systems, and its accuracy would seriously affect system performance. To improve accuracy of gyro, wavelet transformation threshold method is used to filter the signal noise of fiber optic gyroscope. Simulation results show that the wavelet threshold can effectively remove the signal noise of fiber optic gyroscope and get a better outcome compared to traditional digital low-pass filter method. Spectrum analysis of signal further confirmed the wavelet threshold filter yields an excellent result. Besides, Multi-frequency resolution characteristics of wavelet can show the trend of low-frequency noise in gyro signal, which is propitious to filter the low-frequency noise in gyroscope.
