Abstract

The whirl equations of short-bearing model, the critical rotational speed of two disks model with considering gyro-moment, and the stability of Muszynska's single disk model in the rotor-bearing system are studied in order to explore the application of Wu method to rotor-bearing system. The idea of the characteristic set of Wu method is combined with Maple's symbolic calculation, which completes the analytic calculation of whirl parameter of short-bearing system, the critical rotational speed of rotor with two disks and stability of Muszynska's single disk rotor-bearing.
