Abstract

The hydroforming technology, as one of the most important method producing lightweight automotive parts, is developed fast in recent years. This paper introduces the merit in this technology and the influence on automobile industry, gives an overview of hydroforming applications at home and abroad, lists typical automobile parts by hydroforming in detail and points out the late development trend on hydroforming technology. This technology would be more and more widely used in automobile industry in future.
