Abstract

A product spectrogram-WVD(PSWVD) transform method for detecting multicomponent PPS(mc-PPS) was developed. The PSWVD algorithm combines the merits of spectrogram with WVD transform, which holds good frequency aggregation and anti-noise performance while removing cross-terms of WVD. Meanwhile an adaptive threshold was set up to suppress noise and cross-terms, which reduces the computation mostly for the following Radon transform. Simulations on 3 component linear frequency modulation (LFM) signals, 2 component non-linear frequency modulation (NLFM) signals and strong and weak PPS show that the PSWVD algorithm has excellent detection performance.
