Abstract

The thermal emission model of high temperature ceramics submitted to aerodynamic heating was developed to analyze the apparent emissivity and temperature. The control volume method was combined with the Monte Carlo method and spectral band model to simulate the temperature distribution and apparent emissivity of ceramics under the different conditions. Effects of optical thickness, isotropic scattering, substrate emissivity and refractive index on the apparent emissivity were analyzed, and effects of aerodynamic heating and scattering albedo in ceramics on temperature distribution and apparent emissivity. The result shows that aerodynamic heating scattering albedo increase, the temperature in ceramics steps up and its apparent emissivity decreases.
