Abstract

Anisotropic bond model has been used to investigate the compressibility for the HgBa2Can-1CunO2n+2+δ (n=1, 2, and 3) under ambient pressure. The volume compressibilities are found to decrease linearly with increasing oxygen content and decrease systematically with the increase of n. The pressure dependence of Tc is analyzed in terms of pressure-induced charge transfer model. The calculation maximum values of Tmaxc under pressure for optimally dopings and pressure coefficients of Tc are in agreement with the experimental results.
