Abstract

As the freeway develops rapidly in China, the problem of traffic accidents on the freeway, has become increasingly prominent. At present, the freeway traffic safety in China isn't optimistic due to regional differences and other factors, which fosters the probability of freeway traffic accidents. This paper proposes a method of social network theory. This study applies the method to the freeway network and safety accidents in Jilin Province. The Ucinet software is used to analyze influencing factors of traffic accidents with centrality and cluster analysis, based on the internal relations and the status of each factor in an accident. This study can provide theoretical support for the evaluation index system and follow-up research on regional freeway safety protection.
