Abstract

This paper examines manufacturing strategy from the respective of the resource-based view of the firm. It explores the key carrier which can show the uniqueness of resources in manufacturing is manufacturing capability. A model of manufacturing strategy is given on the basis of the three hypotheses. On the databases of IMSS, this paper empirically demonstrates that manufacturing performance is improved by manufacturing capability, which is driven by internal organizational learning and external organizational learning.
