Analysis of Frequency Characteristics of the Half-Bridge CLCL Converter and Derivative Topologies

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

CLCL resonant converters represent an interesting and emerging high-order resonant converter topology. In this paper, some modeling methods have been introduced and analyzed in detail, with special emphasis on their frequency characteristics. Hence, a small-signal model has been set up and a control to output transfer function has been obtained by using the state-space method. Also, frequency characteristics related to different component parameters is investigated and a systematic modeling approach for derivative topologies with higher order resonant tanks is proposed. The relevance of the obtained results are further demonstrated through experimental tests.
