Analysis of direct detection and coherent detection in wireless optical communication with polarization shift keying

Abstract

The comparison between direct detection and coherent detection for circular polarization shift keying modulation scheme is analyzed for wireless optical communication in turbulence channel. The coherent detection had a better performance than direct detection.
