Abstract
Natural frequency and extreme vibration acceleration are the two major parameters that determine the protective performance of electromagnetic relay (EMR) under mechanics environment conditions. The spring system with rigid stationary springs or flexible springs is analyzed and its anti-vibration mathematic model is developed. Based on this model, expression for spring vibration acceleration and reasonable criteria for verifying the anti-vibration spring system are given. By analyzing relative factors that have effect on spring vibration acceleration (including material characteristic, size parameters, contact initial pressure, contact mass), how to improve the spring system anti-vibration ability of EMR is investigated. The conclusions can be used as a guide line of the optimal design of the spring system for EMR.
