Abstract
As a tracking radar system, the monopluse radar with acerate beam needs to search and acquire targets first in the assigned space. The capability of acquiring targets, especially the acquisition probability, is largely influenced by the scanning mode. So this paper analyzes the regular used modes based on the existing study, compares their advantages and disadvantages, and indicates an optimization method and its realization. The simulation result shows that the screw scanning mode has the best capability but needs more systemic requirements, the grid scanning mode is contrary to the screw and the others just between them.
