N2 - This paper discusses the problem existed in the UNLOCK algorithm of a fuzzy vault scheme. After analyzing the construction of the fuzzy vault scheme and the principle of the Reed-Solomon error correction code, it is proved that the special use of the Reed-Solomon code in the UNLOCK algorithm of the scheme is not appropriate. Therefore, the computation complexity analysis of the scheme, which is based on the Reed-Solomon code, also needs reconsideration. A practical UNLOCK algorithm and computation complexity analysis are also presented in the paper.
