Abstract

Motion compensation (MOCOMP) based on parameter estimation of the moving target has a strong influence on inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging quality. In this paper, an optimized symmetric accumulated cross-correlation method (OSACCM) of parameter estimation for translational MOCOMP is proposed. It performed an optimization on the computational complexity, and discussed the determination of the optimal accumulation number. Simulation results verified the proposed method achieved a better balance between the computational cost and the estimation accuracy compared with other similar methods.
