Abstract
The experimental evaluation of grease behavior in elastohydrodynamic point contacts was conducted for two lithium greases. Two Chinese lubricating greases behavior was studied under elastohydrodynamic conditions through measurements of traction coefficients on a self-made rig in which the contact was continuously fed with fresh grease. The calculated traction coefficients agreed fairly well with the measured data. The thermal conductivity, specific heat, and coefficient of thermal expansivity were independent of both pressure and temperature.
