Abstract

This paper proposes an improved preset-trajectory-based preassigned performance control method for axisymmetric skid-to-turn aircraft with disturbances. By integrating the preset-trajectory-based control, the prescribed-time differentiator, and the fixed-time disturbance observer, this method ensures that each tracking error of the angle of attack, sideslip angle, and roll angle remains within a performance pipeline bounded by the preassigned performance envelope. Compared to the recent preset-trajectory-based preassigned performance backstepping control methods, this approach avoids the “differential explosion” problem by using the dynamic surface control technique and achieves exponential convergence of the performance pipeline boundaries after the prescribed time. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
