Abstract

ADBF at subarray level has important applications in phased array radar systems, and this paper studies LCMV methods at subarray level. The limitation of the conventional LCMV at subarray level is that the SLL (sidelobe level) of the adaptive pattern may remarkably increase and that LCMV based on normalization and that based on MOD can suppress the SLL well, but bring in biggish IF (improvement factor) loss. This paper combines LCMV based on normalization and that based on MOD, which can not only suppress the SLL but reduce IF loss. Simulation results indicate the validity of the introduced method.
