Abstract
This letter proposes an improved extended hybrid carrier (IEHC) system based on residual interference minimization to ensure communication reliability. The proposed scheme offers an optimized power allocation while implementing a power layered multiplexing based on the extended weighted-type fractional Fourier transform. Due to further interference suppression while retaining the energy spread advantages of HC, it performs better on anti-fading and adapts to complex scenarios. We provide a detailed description and analysis of the proposed scheme and validate its superiority. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves superior BER performance than the existing HC schemes over doubly-selective channels.
