Abstract

According to the manufacturing strategy consistency theory and literature review of agile manufacturing, the consistency model of agile manufacturing strategy is proposed, which points out the consistent relationships among agile manufacturing drivers, agility strategic objectives, enabling technologies, agility capabilities and business performance. Based on the database of International Manufacturing Strategy Survey (IMSS), an empirical study is carried out on the consistent relationship among the above mentioned elements by means of structural equation modeling. It is found out that elements of the consistency model have significant consistent relationships. The findings of this research have theoretic and practical implications for application of agile manufacturing in manufacturing companies.
